High Absorptivity and Ultra-Wideband Solar Absorber Based on Ti-Al2O3 Cross Elliptical Disk Arrays

Perfect metamaterial absorbers have attracted researchers’ attention in solar energy harvesting and utilization. An ideal absorber should provide high absorption, be ultra-wideband, insensitive to polarization incident angles, which brings challenges research. In this paper, we proposed optimized an ultra-wideband based on Ti-Al2O3 cross elliptical disk arrays obtain the absorption of energy. The addition a cavity greatly improves energy-absorbing effect operating band, has research value. spectrum field distribution were analyzed by finite difference time domain method. For physical mechanism, electric magnetic indicates that is caused propagation surface plasmon resonance (SPR), localized SPR Fabry–Perot (F-P) excited between Ti Al2O3 disks. results demonstrate bandwidth with rate beyond 90% reaches 1380 nm (385–1765 nm), average astonishing 98.78%. matches main radiation energy, approximately 295–2500 according data from literature, total thickness structure only 445 nm.
